Pastor Phillip Hoss was born in Bakersfield, CA. His father, Pastor Guy P. Hoss, planted and began pastoring the Apostolic Church of Bakersfield in their home in 1965 when Pastor Hoss was five years old. He was involved in the ministry of his father's church at a young age. Ordained in 1985, Pastor Hoss began assisting his father in their home church. Pastor Hoss was elected Pastor of New Life Church in January of 2000. Pastor Hoss has a heart and passion to reach the entire world with the Gospel of Jesus, this desire to fulfill the Great Commission has taken him to various parts of the world preaching the message of 'The Kingdom.' 

The highlight of his life is enjoying the company of his wife of 30 years, Amelia, and their three children (Guy, Chandra, and Raquel), daughter-in-law (Ashley), and grandchild (Graeson).
